Discover the “Instagram of the 18th century” in the form of portraits of class-conscious citizens, proud patricians, and beautiful ladies. Even the great masters of their art were not immune to leaving behind a “selfie” or two and presenting themselves to posterity in self-portraits.

Along the colorful supraports above the doors, commissioned by the first owner of the house, this museum guide leads you through the rooms of the Schaezler Palace, which still exude the spirit of the 18th century. Our path takes us past familiar and surprising scenes from Greek and Roman mythology through the magnificent suite of rooms on the first floor to the Rococo Hall, the golden heart of the Schaezler Palace. A mysterious lady with a squirrel, delicate flower still lifes by female artists, and other masterpieces from the Haberstock Foundation adorn the walls of the second floor, where the family's actual living quarters were once located.
